friends
We have great neighbors who let their kids come up after lunch for Allie to read to them. She's a natural teacher and just shines when she's leading younger children. It's a big motivator for her.
Thanks Aunt T!
Welcome to Texas!
Can you believe that? Do you see the temperature? 121 degrees!
I know that my car was sitting in the sun, but still!

Here's the beginning of a homeschool space. It's by our kitchen table. It works so far.
Fun at the Mayborn Museum! Our new neighbors took us there and we had a blast!
She loves being in Texas...anything to do with horses.

Deep in the Heart of Texas!
Well, we are getting settled back into life as Texans. And to kick it off, we baked Cowboy Cookies yesterday! This was my base recipe, but I tweeked some things (more oats, less sugar, maple syrup instead of brown sugar, and butterscotch chips instead of walnuts) and they were amazing!
So, next is the requested chocolate cake to start off the school year - Monday morning, bright and early with home school! I'm excited and overwhelmed for sure, but praying we just have fun with it. I'm certainly understanding that it is a lot of work.
Here are some pictures:
BAYLOR! The girls and I bike over here multiple times a week, Grant can walk,
and I'm thinking it will be a lot of fun being so close to campus.
Nags Head over the summer - love this beach! Lydia played in the sand the whole time - she has only been to the beach one other time and she was only 6 months old.
