Both of these resources were passed on to me from my sweet friend, Kathy!

I am so thankful that it's not up to me or about me!

parenting
This is a paragraph from this post by Kevin DeYoung. GREAT post on parenting! I long for a good balance of working hard at this thing called parenting but giving myself and the rest of my family LOTS of grace!
"I could be wrong. My kids are still young. Maybe this no-theory is a theory of its own. I just know that the longer I parent the more I want to focus on doing a few things really well, and not get too passionate about all the rest. I want to spend time with my kids, teach them the Bible, take them to church, laugh with them, cry with them, discipline them when they disobey, say sorry when I mess up, and pray like crazy. I want them to look back and think, “I’m not sure what my parents were doing or if they even knew what they’re were doing. But I always knew my parents loved me and I knew they loved Jesus.” Maybe it’s not that complicated after all."
Amen and Amen!

our move
We have been praying about this decision and feel confident it is where the Lord is leading us! We'll be leaving Memphis, headed for Waco, TX this summer so Grant can begin a PhD program at Baylor in the fall. God has answered so many of our prayers specifically for provision, clarity, and even our girls' attitudes about it all. We are excited to see what the future holds and sad to leave the amazing community we have here. It has really been wonderful to live near family and great friends. We go filled for sure!
More details coming...
